London based yarn shop and knitting group, I Knit, have joined forces with international charity WaterAid to create an alternative to a traditional petition - a spectacular river of knitted blue squares! Our Knitted River will raise awareness and will travel to all future WaterAid campaigning events to carry their message of safe, clean water for all - a basic right. Scroll down for regular updates, including our random square of the week picture!

It is really impossible to say...but I'd guess about 5000 so far!! Most of these haven't been sewn together yet!! But we will get there I prmoise you that!
